Health Information Management

Health Information Management (Technician Programme) is essential for ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and security of health information, supporting clinical decision-making, billing accuracy, and healthcare quality improvement efforts.

Diploma

  • Duration: 3 years
  • Semester: 6
Four (4) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Biology, Mathematics and either Physics or Chemistry and any other subject at SSCE by WAEC or NECO or NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings.

National Diploma

  • Duration: 2 years
  • Semester: 4
Five (5) ‘O’ Level Credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other relevant subject at SSCE by WAEC or NECO.

Higher National Diploma

  • Duration: 2 years
  • Semester: 4
In addition to the specific entry requirement mentioned above,
A. National Diploma/Professional Diploma (Technician) Certificate in Health Information Management with a minimum of Lower Credit.
B. National Diploma/Professional (Technician) Professional License to practice by HRORBN.
C. Evidence of completion of One year relevant work experience in accredited Health Institution approved by the Board for National Diploma Candidates only.
D. Candidates with a pass (CGPA 2.00 – 2.49) at the ND level with two (2) or more years post ND Cognate Work Experience.
